Bandari and SS Assad cruised to the semi-finals of the SportPesa Shield after they won their respective quarter-finals at Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa yesterday.

Bandari outclassed Western Stima 4-1 while Assad who eliminated AFC Leopards to make it to the quarters edged out Congo Boys 2-1.

William Wardi put Bandari ahead in the 15th minute through a penalty after Shaban Kenga was brought down. Kenga was then yellow-carded in the 32nd minute for a hard tackle on Kevin Akongo.

Coach Bernard Mwalala rested Yema Mwana and introduced Wycliffe Ochomo in the 40th minute.

The Dockers kept on attacking with Abdallah Hassan and Darius Msagha keeping Stima’s custodian Samuel Odhiambo in his toes.

Kenga doubled the lead just before the break.
