Liverpool were unable to restore their five-point lead at the top of the table as West Ham battled back to earn a deserved point.

The home side made the brighter start at the London Stadium with Javier Hernandez going close with a whistling drive.

But it was Liverpool who scored against the run of play when Sadio Mane steered the ball home - although James Milner was offside in the build-up.

West Ham were deservedly level before half-time however when Michail Antonio fired home the equaliser.

Both sides had chances after the break with Mark Noble coming particularly close but a point means Manchester City can leapfrog Liverpool with victory over Everton on Wednesday.
