Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has hit out at Jose Mourinho - claiming the Portuguese is 'embarrassing' the club.

Mourinho is under increasing pressure ahead of tonight's Champions League clash against Valencia at Old Trafford.

United were beaten at West Ham on Saturday which followed a reverse by Derby in the Carabao Cup on penalties in midweek.

The Red Devils are without a win in their last three games, and Scholes admits he is surprised Mourinho has survived this long.

He told BT Sport: "I'm surprised he survived after Saturday. The performance was that bad. The attitude and performance were nowhere near.

"He's coming out in press conference, he is constantly having a go at players, he's having a go at people above him because he is not getting what he wants.

"I think his mouth is probably out of control and I think he's embarrassing the club."
