Luis Enrique has stamped his authority on the Spain squad by unveiling a number of bans on his players.

The former Barcelona coach takes charge of his first game on Saturday against England at Wembley.

And to better prepare his squad moving forward, Enrique wants to improve discipline, and that means no more playing Ludo.

The Spanish are thought to have played the game, alongside PlayStation, late into the nights during the 2018 World Cup, and Enrique believes it may have had an impact on the side underperforming.

There's more, too, with mobile phones banned from the dining room, with compulsory attendance for all team meals.

Fines will be handed out for lateness, while dinner is now deemed early, starting 30 minutes earlier than before at 8:30pm to ensure the team can get to bed at a reasonable hour.

There's no more fried food, with more fruit and vegetables for the players to tuck into. Though Marcos Alonso appears to be content with what he has seen so far after receiving a call-up following a fine start to the Premier League campaign.

"Things are working well [at Chelsea ]. With Luis Enrique I see similar things," said the Chelsea man.

"It is modern football that is played lately; have the ball, control the game, and be well placed when the time comes when the ball is lost.

“Both when you attack and when you defend, you must do everything according to the possession. The placement is fundamental.

"That is why the training sessions are similar to those of Spain; possession, exit of the ball. These are similar concepts."
