According to several sports news outlets across Europe, Catalan giants FC Barcelona have ruled out a hunt for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba – for now.
Pogba has had an eventful year so far – almost falling out with Jose Mourinho over ‘style of play’ and redeeming himself in the World Cup by winning it.
Reports now indicate that Barcelona have more or less postponed their pursuit of the Frenchman, with the club’s Director Ariedo Braida claiming they will not bid for Pogba this summer.
He, however, expressed much admiration for the midfielder, “I don’t think we’re going to move for Pogba, but he’s a great player,” said Braida as seen on Mirror.
The Blaugrana will still be keen to sign him in future. This is after the Frenchman failed to quash rumours about his ‘uncertain’ future at the club.

“There are things that I cannot say otherwise I will get fined,” said Pogba, responding to a question about his relationship with the manager.
Pogba was part of the Man United squad that kicked off their Premier League campaign with a 2-1 win against Leicester City at Old Trafford last Friday. He scored the opening goal via a penalty before under-fire Luke Shaw sealed the win with a sumptuous volley late in the second half.
