On Monday 23, the global leg of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola kicked off with an official launch ceremony in London, where former FIFA World Cup champions, Sir Geoff Hurst of England (1966), Andrea Pirlo of Italy (2006) and Russia 2018 ambassador Victoria Lopyreva sent the official trophy off on its worldwide 2018 tour.

The trophy is expected to land in Nairobi, Kenya on February 26 and 27 before being flown to Maputo, Mozambique. Kenyan football fans are invited to come and view the trophy which the national teams around the world will be competing for from June to July.

It will be the first time the prestigious trophy will be visiting Austria, Mongolia and Iceland. The tour will be the largest ever as it will see the trophy visit 91 cities, across 51 countries and six continents. This is the fourth time in history that Coca-Cola and FIFA have come together to bring the Trophy Tour to the world.

The trophy also made its way across Russia for three months, visiting 16 cities and traveling more than 16,000km, making it the longest host country tour in history. Coca cola is now giving football fans around the world a lifetime opportunity to get up close to the original trophy that will be presented to the winner in July by inviting them to get ready for the official 2018 FIFA World Cup tour.
