Manchester United are stocking up on Zlatan Ibrahimovic replica shirts in anticipation of his return to action.

The 36-year-old, who is close to a full recovery from the anterior cruciate ligament injury he picked up last season, is expected to be back playing again by next month.

Ibrahimovic was hugely popular among the fans last season and the club's commercial team are keen to cash-in on his second coming.

Club shops around Old Trafford are understood to have ordered in extra shirts and printing Ibrahimovic's name on the back to deal with the expected extra demand.

“Departments behind the scenes have been preparing for Zlatan's return to action," an Old Trafford employee told the ="https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/4901519/manchester-united-stock-up-zlatan-ibrahimovic-shirts/">Sun.<

“The social media stuff is one thing to get the fans going. There has also been a lot of his replica kits for adults and kids ordered into the shop.

“It is the run up to Christmas, so it's an important time of the year. His return to action has come at the right time if truth be told.”
