Athletics: Ongori, Koech shine in Kisii

Athlete Edwin Mokua who emerged second during the Kisii Half Marathon held on 29-9-2017 in a past race, he clocked 1:05:18 to return second, behind Joseph Koech who won in 1:04:39 [Phillip Orwa, Standard]

Former half marathon silver medallist Philes Ongori and Joseph Koech won the Safaricom Kisii Half Marathon yesterday.

Ongori took the lead in the women category to win in 1:16:05 followed closely by Joy Kemuma who clocked 1:16:06 with Teresia Omosa closing the top three in 1:17:12. In the men category, Koech took an early lead to win the race in 1: 04:39 followed by Edwin Mokua at 1:05:18.
