Liverpool’s hopes of hanging on to Philippe Coutinho look to have been given a boost after Barcelona turned their attentions to Chelsea star Willian instead.

The Catalans have failed with a flurry of bids for the Brazilian, with the Reds insisting the midfielder is not for sale.

And it looks as though Barcelona may have finally admitted defeat after reportedly turning their gaze to another Brazilian, reports the Daily Star.

They say Willian is one of a number of alternatives Barca are looking at as they try to replace the goals and creativity of Neymar and say there have been talks between their representatives.
