Kenya Football Referees Association (KFRA) chairman GMT Ottieno wants action taken against Muhoroni Youth chairman Moses Adagala for allegedly harassing visiting teams.

Ottieno’s statement came after Football Kenya Federation (FKF) suspended Muhoroni Stadium from hosting league matches after Nzoia Sugar officials were attacked at the venue.

“This is not the first time that Adagala has been caught up in such allegations and it is high time firm action is taken,” he said.

KPL. Mulama tips Mathare to hit back

Former Mathare United midfielder Titus Mulama has tipped the team to win tomorrow’s match against Nakumatt.

Mulama believes a win will also turn around the team’s fortunes. Mathare will be keen to hit back from a four-match losing streak.

“Nakumatt is a new team in the league and you cannot compare us with them because we have more experience in the KPL. I am expecting that our performances will improve starting this weekend because the boys have what it takes to get the three points.

It’s just a matter of believing in themselves and giving their best,” he said. Mulama also said that the performance of United was not surprising considering they have a new set of players.

“Having new players means that the team would struggle at some point and what is happening at the moment is normal. But it will end and the team will bounce back,”he said. [Gilbert Wandera]

Thika United to miss services of Mejja

Struggling Thika United have been dealt a big blow ahead of their weekend match against Muhoroni Youth following the absence of defender Sammy Mejja.

The defender is suspended after he picked his fifth yellow card in last weekend’s match against Gor Mahia at Nyayo Stadium.

It is the second match that Mejja will be missing due to suspension. He was missing when his side lost to Nakumatt two weeks ago after getting a red card against Ulinzi Stars at home. [Gilbert Wandera]
