Yaya Toure set for City farewell

Yaya Toure has been left facing an emotional farewell to Manchester City fans next Tuesday.

Former Blues talisman Toure’s current contract expires this summer and he has not had any contact from City about a renewal.

Sources close to the midfielder, who turns 34 on Saturday, have confirmed there has been no offer made or even talks, despite his deal running down.

The Ivory Coast international has made it clear he wants to stay in the Premier League and City boss Pep Guardiola, who previously managed Toure at Barcelona before selling him to the Etihad club for £24million in 2010, had hinted there could yet be a new pact.
