After the conclusion of regional games, action now shifts to the national Teachers Training Colleges Games.

Kericho Teachers Training College, venue for this year’s games, will be a busy place, no doubt.

Kabianga University and Kabianga High School will also host some games in the three-day competition.

Teams will compete in football, basketball, volleyball, hockey and handball.

According to Kenya Teachers Colleges Sports Association Secretary General Paul Maina, they are ready for the championships that began with a one-day workshop on Sunday for referees.

“We had to take the referees, who will officiate in the games, through a one-day workshop. They need to be acquainted with the latest rules in all disciplines,” Ngugi said.

Rift Valley TTC Secretary General Duncan Okwaro has promised a good show.

“It will be real battle in the chase for top honours. We are determined to win most titles,” Okwaro said.

Rift Valley football champions Tambach TTC open their campaign with a match against Eregi of Western in Pool B that also has Asumbi of Nyanza.

Pool A has Kilimambogo, Islamic of Coast, Kigari and Machakos.
