KCB VOLLEYBALL TRAINS AT KAMUKUNJI AHEAD OF NYERI LEAGUE OPENER

KCB Women volleyball team have arrived in Nyeri County ahead of tomorrow’s league opener.

The team will face MKU at Kamukunji grounds in an early clash at 9am. Speaking today during a training session at the venue, Head Coach Vernon Khayinga says the squad is in good spirits.

“The morale at the camp is very high, we looking forward to a great game tomorrow and we will give our very the best in the outing, said Vernon.

Team Captain Maiyo Eunice will lead the squad against the university side. Tomorrow’s game will see Gladys Wairimu and Farida Efumbi play as the setters, while middle blockers comprise of Christine Siwa, Modesta Chepchirchir and Pauline Nyongesa.

Vernon has also selected Milgreen Lutuvula, Elishiba Chepkemoi and Doreen Marani as the main attackers. New signings Sharleen Maiwa and Lucy Sakon’g will be the right attackers in the outing with the experienced Linnet Mukambi playing the Libero.

The Bankers will face other teams during the tournament that starts on Saturday- Sunday at the same venue.
