Arsenal could make a late swoop for cut-price Julian Draxler, according to reports.

The Gunners are thought to be interested in the Schalke winger, who could now be available for as little as £21million.

But Arsenal bosses could be put off by Draxler's injury record and Schalke's general manager Horst Heldt has dismissed rumours linking the attacking midfielder with a move away.

It has been reported that his price tag has been reduced due to his niggling injury problems.

Wolfsburg are also thought to be targeting a move for Draxler as a potential replacement for Kevin De Bruyne, who is set to leave for Manchester City.

Cheryshev wanted by Gunners

Arsenal will try and lure Denis Cheryshev from Real Madrid, despite his wish to stay at the Bernabeu, according to the Daily Express.

Cheryshev, a long-term target for Liverpool, is a full Russian international and has played over 100 times for Real Madrid B, but has never featured for the full team in La Liga.

But that is not putting him off fighting for his place in Rafael Benitez's team.

“It is a privilege to be here, with the best players in the world,” he told Spanish reporters.

“We are here to help, when the manager creates opportunities for us to play, we will do so full of enthusiasm because being here is a real privilege.“
