Barcelona are lining up a move for Celta Vigo forward Nolito as a replacement for Manchester United-bound Pedro.
United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward flew back out to the US for talks with Pedro’s agent ahead of the friendly with Barca in San Jose, which the Reds won 3-1.
Woodward has since flown back to the UK and it is understood United are ready to meet Pedro’s release clause of £22million to complete the deal.
Barca have targeted Nolito to fill the void left by Pedro’s expected departure, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The 28-year-old, who has been linked with Everton, scored 13 goals last season to help Celta finish 8th in La Liga.
