De Gea set to sign a new contract despite interest from Real Madrid

David De Gea is ready to reject a move to Real Madrid this summer and pen a new £20m two-year deal at Manchester United, according to the Sun.

Madrid-born De Gea has 18 months left on his current deal and United boss Louis Van Gaal is confident he will commit to a new contract after establishing himself as one of the best keepers in the world.

The La Liga giants have been desperate for De Gea to replace Iker Casillas at the Bernabeu with United sweating over his Old Trafford future. It reported that he is set to sign a new two-year deal with Man United worth as much as £200,000-a-week.
