Manchester United players team up with City rivals for night out

They may not be friends on the pitch but that doesn't stop Manchester United players and their City rivals socialising off it.

Angel di Maria, Marcos Rojo and Victor Valdes headed out for dinner with their partners and were joined by Manchester City trio Pablo Zabaleta, Willy Caballero and Martin Demichelis.

The players - all Argentina teammates except for Valdes - headed to San Carlo Italian restaurant in central Manchester.

They reportedly spent four hours dining at the venue, eventually leaving at around midnight.

It's not the first time this season people from either side of the Manchester divide have been spotted out together.

Following United's recent derby win, manager Louis van Gaal went to celebrate at Wing's Restaurant. While there he met, and posed for pictures with, two Manchester City W.F.C players - who were then forced to apologise for their actions.

This time, though, there was no celebrating from United's players, who were still smarting from their 1-0 defeat by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
