NAIROBI, Kenya: Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Arts Dr. Hassan Wario has ordered Football Kenya Federation Chairman Sam Nyamweya to release the report issued by the FIFA appointed Independent Expert consultant on the league format for the 2015 season.

The report together with recommendations on the league composition is said to have been sent last week after KPL and FKF failed to agree on the number of teams to participate in the league.

FKF are vouching for an expanded 18-league team, while the league organizers have stood their ground of having a 16-team league format.

But after yesterday’s meeting convened by Wario on Thursday 29 January, the Sports CS wrote a stern letter to FKF chairman ordering the federation to release the report to all relevant stakeholders without any further delay.

"It has come to our attention that the report by Dr.Robert Niemann ,the FIFA appointed independent expert consultant, has not been made available to any of the concerned parties including the Ministry of Sports ,Culture and The Arts,” read the letter.

“The delay and refusal to release the said report and its recommendations is causing great anxiety in the football fraternity in Kenya. In view of the above this is to request you to release the above report immediately to all the concerned parties without delay.”

It remains to be seen whether the federation will avail the report or not as they have already announced the formation of an 18 league team with a raft of resolutions adopted during today’s Special General Meeting held at the Kakamega Golf Club.
