A Nyanza-based football stakeholder has asked Football Kenya Federation (FKF) to allow SuperSport continue holding the broadcast rights for the top-tier league.

According to Bob Agwanda, the Executive Director of the Western Kenya Sports Forum, the company has proved that they can do the job and should be let to continue with the deal.

He took issue with reports that the federation is in the process of signing a new television deal with MP & Silva Group, pointing out that little is known about the new company.

"Not much is no known about the new company and therefore it is prudent to let Supersport continue with the deal and then we brainstorm on the pros and cons of the new agreement," he said.

He also challenged FKF to go round the country and tell stakeholders why the new deal is better than the existing one.

He further said it is sad that Rwanda and Uganda are ahead of Kenya despite their limited infrastructure.

"FKF should tell us what their intention is in regard to local football," he concluded.

The federation officials are nowadays frequently holed up in meetings with Fifa officials.
