Nairobi, Kenya: Naomi Wafula has retained her position as the best young female golfer of the year. Wafula retained the title with a stroke index average of 75.1. Mathew Wahome is the top player in the boy's category with an average index score of 73.1. "This is really great for me. It easy to be number one but it is not easy to retain it. Retaining the title means you have to give your best in all tournaments you participate in throughout the year," said Wafula, 17. The announcement was made by Junior Golf Foundation (JGF) during its annual junior gala celebrations at the Royal Nairobi Golf Club on Tuesday.
