Cesc Fabregas has admitted he still wants to be friends with Arsene Wenger, despite not talking to him since he came back.
The Spaniard made joined Arsenal's bitter rivals Chelsea in the summer after being told he can leave Barcelona, but Fabregas knew it wouldn't be a popular move.
As a result, Wenger is yet to even attempt to speak to his former playmaker.
Despite this, the honourable midfielder would still like to have a relationship with his old Gunners manager.
Fabregas told the Sun : “No, he hasn’t spoken to me since I came back.

“And it was the kind of relationship I always would have liked to keep.
“But I’m sure once everything dies down a bit in the future we will talk. There is no problem. I’ll always be grateful to him whatever happens.”
The 27-year-old also revealed that he used to receive a text from Wenger on his birthday or at milestone career moments, but they have abruptly stopped.
It is the second time this summer that Wenger has snubbed Fabregas after refusing to take up the first option to buy clause which Arsenal had on his contract.
Earlier in the summer, Arsenal removed their tribute banner to Fabregas on the Ken Friar Bridge after it blew down in winds and they decided not to replace it.
Fabregas has been an instant hit at Chelsea since his £30million switch back to London, scoring in their opening Champions League game of the season against Schalke.
