Ayange, who features for Kabras 15s, will temporarily be in charge of the team in absence of coach Jerome Muller.

But the player says he is not scared of anything as they renew their rivalry with defending National Sevens Circuit champions KCB, MMUST and Western Bulls in Group A fixtures tomorrow.

“I am looking forward to Kabeberi. Lots of responsibilities on one’s shoulder though but nothing that cannot be handled albeit. Our goal is to try and get wins from day one games. From there onwards, it’ll be a game at a time as we proceed,” said Ayange.

“Sevens is far much different from 15s. We’re all aware of the fact that everyone will want to beat us, but again we are ready for the challenge ahead.”

KCB also won the series in 2013 and 2014, while the reigning Kenya Cup and Enterprise Cup champions Kabras Sugar, have lifted the series once in 2017.

KCB won Kabeberi Sevens in 2008 and 2014, while Kabras are yet to taste victory.

The tournament’s current champions Mwamba, who have won the series four times, headline Group B, which also features Nondescripts, Strathmore Leos and Mean Machine.
