Governor Kihika hosts 1,500 children at her home

At least 1, 500 minors from various children's homes in Nakuru County had a reason to smile following a Christmas treat by the family of Governor Susan Kihika,
Christened, the First Gentleman Christmas Party, the children spent the entire day at the Governor's home in Ngata playing games, dancing, and partying.
Governor Kihika and her husband Sam Mburu served the children with food and donated some to carry home. She revealed that this is the second year they are holding such a party at their home.
"This is the second year now doing this. It is a program of the first gentleman and as a family, we decided to set aside Christmas Day (December 25) and share a meal with all the children from across the Children Homes," she said.

She added that it feels so nice sharing with the children and wanted them to have a day they can run around and play calling on those able to share with the needy.
"It is more satisfying to give than to receive, if we can give in our little ways it is very satisfying. These children are so special to us and we will want them to enjoy," she added.
Ann Nyokabi, the Director of Matumaini Rehabilitation Centre said they were happy to have had such a chance.
The children she said were happy and felt treasured.
"We are happy and thank the Governor and her family and may God bless her," she said.
