The British government has cut links with the Kenyan government in regard to funding of education programmes, instead choosing to adopt a more direct way of disbursing similar funds without government involvement. However in a decidedly good turn of events for the education sector, The British government will disburse 2.3 billion shillings but exclude government systems. British high commissioner Rob Macaire and Alistair Fernie, the head of Nairobi’s DFID office expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s handling of the education funds scandal.
