If you think you've had it all, buckle up because this Kienyeji spring turkey soup will blow your mind.


One whole spring turkey, cut into 12 pieces

Two fresh tomatoes, cubed

One onion, diced

Juice of one lemon

Salt to taste

Three teaspoons of black pepper                                                                                 

One cup water


Wash the turkey thoroughly. In a pressure cooker put the meat and add tomatoes, onion, salt and black pepper.

Mix well. Now add the lemon juice and the water. Cover the cooker and cook for 20 minutes over high heat.

Once ready, release the pressure from the cooker and you are ready to serve. Have your soup with either ugali or bread. Enjoy!
