Governor’s officials fight over inclusion of woman to Nairobi trip

Two secretaries attached to the office of a governor from Nyanza last week engaged in a nasty verbal exchange that degenerated into a near-fist fight over a trip to Nairobi with the county boss.

The Grapevine has gathered that one of the secretaries has been minting thousands of shillings in per diems from such trips even as details of her alleged relationship with a senior county officer emerged.

Our sources intimated that the male officer has made it his mandate to include the beautiful woman's name in list of officers in the governor’s trip, some of which she skipped but still pocketed tax payer’s money.

On the said day, the governor received complaints over the constant name in his trips, forcing him to order a fresh list that occasioned the dropping of the woman.

One of the affected women was angered, causing drama at the county headquarters in what has remained talk of the county in the last couple of days.

The said county has been in the recent past been in the radar of the country’s investigative agencies over questionable procurement.
