Police in Naivasha are holding a foreign terror suspect who was arrested while soliciting for funds from friends.
The suspect claims to be from the UK and had first sought help from the local mosque but worshipers were alarmed by his inconsistent stories.
The area Supkem Chairman Ali Mohammed said the suspect had told worshipers that he had come to visit his parents.
The suspect also said he had been admitted to a rehabilitation centre in Nairobi. “The story did not add up so we called the police who took him to the station for further questioning,” he said.
A senior officer who declined to be named, said Anti-terror Police Unit has taken over the case.
