A Nairobi tout has been charged with robbing a businessman of a gold chain, pistol and mobile phone worth Sh1 million on August 9.
Jamal Hussein Bachu, alias Salat, with others not before the court, is alleged to have robbed Davison Mwangi Wainaina, who had gone to vote in Stahere's Kiamaiko area.
They allegedly violently robbed him of a Sh600,000 Ceska pistol loaded with 16 bullets, a Sh300,000 gold chain and mobile phone worth Sh120,000.

It is then that five people attacked him, holding him by the neck as they frisked and robbed him.
When he tried to remove his gun, he realised it had also been stolen by the assailants who took off immediately after the robbery incident.
Afterward, he sought treatment and reported the matter to the police
The accused was arrested after being identified in a police parade.
