What’s for dessert? Your meal maybe all nice a dandy, you should still have one more surprise up your sleeve for your guests - dessert.

Tuck these balls in a basket and set them on your dinner table. They complete the meal and flow with most themes.

Yields about: 80-90 Balls

Prep Time: 30-40 minutes

Cooling Time: 1hr

Ready In: 1hr 40 minutes

Ingredients:

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup crunchy peanut butter

4 tablespoons vanilla essence

2 cups white sugar

2 cups cracker crumbs (crumbed cracker biscuits)

2 cups walnuts/peanuts, chopped, crushed

11/3 cups coconut flakes

2 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (grated into medium chunks)

4 teaspoons shortening

Nuts or sprinkles

Directions:

In a large bowl, cream the butter, peanut butter and vanilla essence. Add the sugar, stir in the cracker crumbs, walnut/peanuts and coconut flakes then shape into 1-inch balls. Place on a tray, cover and refrigerate for at least an hour.

In a glass bowl, combine the chocolate and shortening, microwave until melted stirring every ten seconds until smooth. Remove the balls from the fridge, dip into the melted chocolate, shaking off any excess chocolate

Roll in the nuts or sprinkle or both, place on a tray lined with wax paper until the chocolate has set.

NOTE: You can also place them in cupcake cups.
