Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris and David De Gea

Manchester United will target Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris if they lose David De Gea at the end of the season, ESPN reports.

De Gea has yet to agree a new deal at Old Trafford and is considering the latest offer – thought to be close to £200,000 a week.

But according to ESPN Lloris is open to a switch to Old Trafford, having told Spurs his situation and waiting developments in the De Gea situation since Tottenham intend to rebuff any offers for goalkeeper.

United Boss Louis van Gaal wants the deal tied up this summer because he does not want De Gea  to go into next season with only a year left on his contract and run the risk of losing him on a free transfer.

De Gea is valued in excess of £20million and, if no agreement is reached, United will be tempted to cash in.

Real Madrid want a long-term replacement for Iker Casillas, who is 34 next month. They are also keen on Lloris, who is valued at around £22m – but De Gea is their first choice.
