A cabinet secretary is said to have given workers at the Kisumu International Airport a hard time during President Uhuru Kenyatta’s tour.
A bitter exchange ensued at the facility after the staff barred the Cabinet Secretary from accessing the VIP lounge.
The altercation took place after the top official was told that only President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition chief Raila Odinga would use the VIP area that had been earlier reserved for them.
The minister, after realising that the men and women manning the zone were adamant, decided to leave in a huff.
The top officer was conspicuously absent throughout the tour of President Kenyatta, which is the first since the handshake.
