Empty phone call? Nine ways Raila attempted to rescue Miguna

When the self-proclaimed NASA ‘general’ Miguna Miguna was prevented from entering the country at the JKIA, Raila Odinga rushed to the airport with Senator James Orengo and Jimi Wanjigi among others.

Odinga was however humiliated by police officers at the airport as he helplessly watched as Miguna getting bungled into a Dubai bound plane.

Questions are emerging as to what Odinga could have done considering the handshake he had with Uhuru that was expected to iron out issues between the two factions.

Here is the chronology of Railas frantic efforts according to sources;

1. Raila is rushed to the airport with other NASA officials, Orengo and Wanjigi.
2. The former premier calls Uhuru before getting to the airport, is assured that the “small matter” would be sorted out.
3. On arrival, he is briefed, reaches out to Uhuru again.
4. He is unable to get through to the President's line. But reportedly finds him through an aide.
5. Immediately Raila ends the call, a team of plainclothes policemen arrive, violently bundles Miguna out
6. Raila tries to hold onto Miguna's luggage but his aides and bodyguards asked him to let it go
7. He is captured on camera running after the security officers whisking Miguna away
8. Hours later, a forlorn Raila was seen headed for his car before he left the airport
9. Miguna is pushed into a Dubai-bound Emirates plane, which he refused to board.
