According to a statement signed by Dennis Anyango, Raila Odinga’s secretariat, NASA said it was deeply disturbed by the incident that took place and apologized to the journalist.

“NASA is deeply disturbed by an incident in which some youths attending its meeting at Wiper Headquarters earlier today assaulted some reporters from local media houses. We wish to make it clear that the youth acted on their own and we condemn their actions in strongest terms possible. The Coalition registers unreserved apology to reporters who fell victim to this unfortunate incident,” read the statement.

During his speech concerning President Uhuru’s win, NASA leader Raila Odinga condemned the actions by the youths and also apologized to the journalist.
