Mourinho was Chelsea boss when Mata was sold to United after being frozen out at Stamford Bridge.
And now, with Mourinho a week into his new job at Old Trafford, Mata is being chased by Everton, according to the Telegraph.
New Toffees boss Ronald Koeman wants the Spanish midfielder, who not included in his country’s Euro 2016 squad and has made a bid of £20 million but there is competition for his signature.
