Kenyans, through texts and on social media reacted to this:
Josh Kamuren Kibon: The people of Mombasa County deserve committed, intelligent, and upright Muslims like Hassan Omar as their governor, not the likes of Joho.
Sudiman K Mach Machar: How do you arrest an elected official?
Don Collins Kibware: Being elected does not mean you are above the law.
Mista Timba: Good. It will give him time and space to reflect after the hectic campaign period.
Lawrence Wamalwa: How can he be arrested and still able to do press brief...get serious sometimes.
