Clerics ask Uhuru to work with DP Ruto

The Clergy Association of Kenya (CAK) has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to work together with his deputy William Ruto.

Addressing the Press in Nairobi yesterday, the clerics said they were concerned with the huge disconnect in the presidency.

“We are concerned with the increasing lack of cohesiveness in the presidency. We call upon the president and his deputy to work together,” said CAK chairperson Bishop Imoite Papa.

Bishop Imoite urged politicians to accord the presidency the respect it deserves, saying there is too much politicking than development and service delivery. He cited locust invasion, saying little was being done about it.

The CAK chair urged the government to print and distribute more copies of the BBI report for Kenyans to read by themselves and make informed decisions.

The clergy also condemned insecurity and terror activities in northern Kenya and religious profiling.
