Makueni, Kenya: The county assembly has kicked off the process to impeach Governor Kivutha Kibwana.
The notice of motion to send the governor home was tabled before the assembly by Sammy Maseka (Wote).
Deputy Speaker Bernard Musau confirmed the motion was tabled on Wednesday and would be debated after seven days, as required by the House standing orders.
Speaking to the Press, Mr Maseka said he has nothing personal against the governor "but he had issues with us".
"The governor has been going round the county setting us against the electorate by telling them that we are thieves," said the MCA, who last year brought a similar motion but withdrew it.
