Two former employees of the Galileo Lounge, Nairobi, were each sentenced to a three-year jail term after they were found guilty of conspiracy to commit a felony by robbing their former employer.

Joseph Ngunguru Wanjohi, a former accountant, and Isaac Ogutu Gando, who was a bouncer in the famous entertainment spot, had been jointly charged that on April 2, last year, at the Galileo Investment Ltd along Waiyaki Way, they jointly conspired to commit a felony by robbing from the club cash and property valued at Sh3 million.

Senior Principal Magistrate Daniel Ochenja, in his judgment said the police had proven beyond reasonable doubt that the two indeed conspired to steal the money from their former employer. Ochenja said Wanjohi and Gando conspired with others who were not in court to commit the robbery and steal the money on the pretence that the club had been robbed by other people.
