Opposition leader Raila Odinga gave a keynote speech at the 5th Annual Devolution Conference in Kakamega.
Before beginning his speech, the veteran politician took time to aim a soft jibe at the dramatic developments during the conference saying that the announcement by the host governor that Kakamega was a 24-hour economy was taking toll on those attending the event.
“Some of you appear to be a little bit tired. Maybe because Governor Oparanya said that it is a 24-hour economy. Some of his guests decided to save his electricity bill by working without light.” He said amid laughter from the audience.
