For yet another year, female students have outdone their male candidates in the just released 2017 KCSE results.
While announcing the results, education Fred Matiang’i pointed out that the number of candidates who have qualified for university enrolment has declined.
The top student in this year’s exam is Karimi Naomi from Pangani Girls followed by Sharon Chepchumba from Moi Girls, Eldoret. Wrapping up the top three list is Kamau Brian Maina from Alliance High School.
Fourth in the list is Odero Donata from Lenana, followed by Harriet Mueke from Mary Hills Girls in Molo.
Kanga High School’s Brian Ongiri is 6th as Moraa Mong’ina and Mwatate Emily from Pangani Girls came in 7th and 8th respectively.

The ninth slot went to Wahome Wanyiri from Moi Girls Eldoret as Maranda High School’s Omondi wrapped up the top ten list of performers.
Matiang’i recognised Pangani Girls as the most improved school.
