When he was growing up, Mr Kenyatta always shied away from politics, wanting to be seen as an ordinary person at ease with ordinary Kenyans. As a child born to a rich and powerful family, he went to one of the best schools in Nairobi before attending Amherst College in the US where he studied Political Science and Economics
He is married to Margaret Gakuo Kenyatta and they have three children, Jomo, Jaba and Ngina Kenyatta.
Did you know that he also played as a Winger for St. Mary’s Nairobi Rugby Team, and despite his privileged background, Uhuru’s sociability has cast him as a man of the people.
