A man in Kakamega stunned the court after he openly refused to remove his headgear as a show of respect for the court.
The man, Josephat Masinza, was in court to answer to charges of waylaying and robbing Shianga Abinga. He was also accused of being in possession of bhang.
“This is in honour of my religion, African B, that does not allow a man to walk around with his head bare. That is why I cannot remove it,” Masinza told the court after he was asked to remove the green headwrap. The accused denied the charges. His case will be heard on July 9, 2015.
