Nairobi, Kenya: A member of a gang that tried to raid Mihang’o police station in Kayole area, Nairobi was shot dead and another injured on Monday night.
The motive of the planned raid is yet to be known and police say the attackers were armed with crude weapons.
The injured man is in hospital and would be interrogated later on, Nairobi police boss Benson Kibui said.
He said preliminary findings show the gang of five attempted to raid the station at about 11pm.
The body of the slain man was taken to the mortuary and would be identified later on, police said.
