Tension remains high along the Marich Pass-Kainuk road in Turkana South after two Kenya National Police Reservists (NPR) were killed and others seriously injured following a raid last weekend.
The assailants, suspected to be Turkana raiders, stormed the Turkwel power station in West Pokot before opening fire and killing the reservists.
The reservists were guarding Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA) houses occupied by the Kenya Power and Lighting Company officers and Petoma constructors.
KVDA Managing Director David Kimosop termed the incident unfortunate.
"I appeal for tolerance as security measures are being taken by the police to ensure the culprits are brought to book," he said.
