Residents in Nyeri will this weekend benefit from a drug, sex and alcohol awareness campaign and talent extravaganza targeting high school leavers.
The event dubbed "Leavers Bash" is expected to educate youth on the dangers of abusing drugs and premarital sex.
Event organiser, Agnes Wachira of Mt Kenya Agencies says the choice to have an alcohol free party was to show the youth it was possible to have a fun-filled party experience minus alcohol and sex. Among the artistes set to headline the event is celebrated entertainer Wyre.
Wachira says that Wyre was chosen to headline the event because he is a teetotaler.
"Wyre is a good mentor for the youth," she says.
