Naivasha, Kenya: Leaders in Naivasha are now calling for the arrest of a white settler over the controversial killing of a suspected livestock thief over the weekend.
The suspect was shot dead on Saturday and his body recovered from Lake Naivasha on Sunday. Police have arrested two of his accomplices.
Police said the three were on a mission to steal livestock from a private home when the middle-aged man was shot dead. Meanwhile, three men are nursing gun shot wounds at Naivasha sub-county hospital after they were allegedly shot by police during the demonstrations.
Naivasha deputy police boss Agnes Amojong, however, denied that police had used live bullets, insisting they used rubber bullets.
