NAIROBI: Emergency services have been mobilized along the Mai Mahiu-Narok highway following an accident that involved at least five vehicles.
Among the vehicles is a fuel tanker that burst into flames shortly after the crash at a bend near a historic Catholic church constructed by Italian Prisoners of War.
The Tuesday morning incident has caused a major traffic tailback as both sides of the road were blocked. The highway immediately leads to Naivasha, Narok and Bomet towns to the west and Nairobi, Kiambu and Machakos to the east.
