Harambee Stars coach Stanley Okumbi says Norway-based goalkeeper Arnold Origi is still in his plans despite the player failing to be called up for international matches.
Origi last played against Guinea Bissau in a June 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier which Harambee Stars lost 1-0 at home.
“He (Origi) is still in my plans for future matches. There are a lot of tournaments coming up and we will call him,” said Okumbi ahead of tomorrow’s dead rubber match against Zambia away.
Okumbi says he is looking for a positive end to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations campaign as the team takes on Zambia.
Stars are out of contention for a place in next year’s tournament after picking just one win in four matches. They drew 1-1 against Congo Brazaville in the first match before going down 2-1 to Zambia.

Two identical 1-0 losses to surprise group leaders Guinea Bissau knocked Stars out of running making Sunday’s fixture against Zambia a dead rubber affair.
“We expect a tactical battle against Zambia on Sunday and we are aware of this. I expect my players to give their best,” said Okumbi.
