Kenyatta University is in plans to promote uptake of its research works as it champions academic excellence.
Acting Vice-Chancellor Paul Wainaina said even as the university commits funds for research and innovations through its various bodies, consumption of the research works was equally critical.
"We have students who have had wonderful innovations but some of the works have not been known because they have not been disseminated well," Prof Wainaina.
Wainaina was speaking in his office yesterday when Standard Group Chief Executive Officer Sam Shollei paid him a courtesy call.
Mr Shollei said the Standard Group would make available its media platforms to help the institution propagate its research works.

"We will work closely and allow your scholars ample space to participate in constructive national dialogue and offer their expert commentaries to drive the development agenda of the education sector and that of the country as well," said Shollei.
