More than 2,000 farmers have received support from the county government to venture into livestock feeds production.
The farmers, drawn from 66 dairy farmers groups, received feed mixers and single-phase motor machines to start manufacturing animal feeds.
The farmers will produce feeds for their livestock and sell the surplus to others who are not members of the groups.
Governor Anne Waiguru says by producing quality feeds, the farmers will improve their animals’ nutrition which will in turn increase milk production.
